You may have heard of a "C4 mod" - that by removing

C4 from the circuit, the pedal is

louder and sounds better. We have never changed C4, but

finally got curious. On a new

TR-2 we put the capacitor on a toggle switch so we could

switch it in and out while playing.

It made no difference at all, at any setting. It's what we

call a "placebo mod". That cap is in

there to stabilize the tremolo pulses coming from the LFO,

so not a good idea to remove it.
